[140412] ‘Crush’ Nears 4 million Downloads, Passes 100 million Streams

Songs from 2NE1‘s sophomore album ‘Crush‘ have now charted on GAON for 6 straight weeks. The title track ‘Come Back Home‘ continues to chart extremely well coming in at #13 with 7 million DAs for a total of almost 80 million DAs. Music show performances have helped push ‘If  I Were You‘ into the 2nd best charting position among album tracks. It comes it at #19 this week for a total of 42 million DAs. The second title track ‘Gotta Be You‘, the promised MV for which has not yet been released, comes in at #25. All songs are still charting with ‘Baby I Miss You‘ and ‘Come Back Home Unplugged‘ falling out of the top 100. The album currently has over a third of a billion (333 million) DAs.

On the monthly chart for March, ‘Come Back Home’ comes in at #1, ‘Gotta Be You’ at #5 and ‘If I Were You’ at #10 with all songs charting in the top 40 except for ‘Come Back Home Unplugged’. The #1 place means 2NE1 will automatically win the March monthly digital award at the GAON awards next year.

On the streaming chart the album continues a strong showing. The title track comes in at #5 with 3.5 million streams for a total of 24 million streams. ‘Crush‘ passes 10 million streams this week. The album as a whole has passed 100 million streams for a total of 105 million streams currently.

‘Crush’ as an album gathered an additional quarter million downloads this week with the two title tracks gathering 100,000 together. ‘Come Back Home Unplugged’ falls off the download chart but managed to gathered 150,000 downloads before doing so.  The album has gathered 3.9 million downloads and will pass 4 million next week. 2NE1′s top 2013 song ‘Missing You‘ also continues to chart and is 1 week of charting away from crossing the 1 million mark! 

Four songs remain on the Background Music chart including ‘Gotta Be You’ which moves up 21 spots and CL’s solo ‘MTBD‘ which moves up 41 spots. ‘Come Back Home’ came in at #3 on the BGM monthly chart. ‘If I Were You’ appropriately lands at #21 on the monthly chart.

Three songs remain on the mobile chart and they are all songs that have been performed on music shows recently. ‘Come Back Home’ shows great consistency only falling 9 spots to land at #17 its 6th week. It came in #6 overall on the monthly mobile chart. ‘Gotta Be You’ came in at #12 monthly.

With monthly charts out, GAON finally releases numbers for physical album sales. While ‘Crush’ came in at #20 weekly, moving up 2 spots, it came in at #4 monthly with 56,500 in sales. This is a slightly better first month than their 2ND mini back in 2011. Speaking of which, their 2011 album recharts at #90 monthly for total 2014 sales of just under 1,000 units.
